Sims 3 crashes in live mode
Hi!
My problem is, I can make a family without any problem and I can be in build mode, but as soon as I enter the live mode, my game crashes. I get a message : The sims 3 has stop working, Windows is looking for a solution. My laptop is a Asus, I'm running on Windows 8, I have more than needed to run the game and my graphics drivers are up to date. I installed it the way I was supposed to, I tried the DEP method, the ultimate fix, I don't have any custom content, I ran it in admin and I fix the 2gb ram problem. I'm hopeless.

Hello,
Do you have any mods/CC? If yes, rename this folder and try running the game again: C:\Users\(your computer name)\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3.

Re: Sims 3 crashes in live mode
Are you Alt-tabing? I found with my laptop if I alt tabbed during playing the sims I would have a crash within ten or twenty minutes, by not alt-tabing I can play for hours and hours, might be worth a shot with you

Re: Sims 3 crashes in live mode
It looks like I solved my problem! Even though I have an amazing graphic card, it couldn't handle some feature of the sims 3, I deactivated the reflection quality and edge smoothing and voila! I can play.

Have you ever had a smooth and successful game on the current laptop?

The graphics were crashing it, but it's working now since I deactivated the reflection, I explained it earlier.
