Sims 3 Island Paradise update problems! [SOLVED]

First, I want to thank you all for help and hardwork. Your downloads are trustworthy and without viruses and I recommend you to all Sims 3 newbies. Keep on going!

So, I downloaded Sims 3 Island Paradise without problems (your version, of course), followed all the instructions, but when I tried too update game via launcher or directly, it shows me Invalid file error pop. Game then back up and says standard "The wizard couldn't finish installation, please, visit help center or fix the problem". I tried all, but it's not working. I am currently reinstalling the game and I am devastated, because I don't know what to do anymore. I tried fixes, direct updates and etc, but, without succes.

You can also try to update the game via manual patch.

What error did you get when you initiated manual patch?

It says "Invalid file found".

Hello,

Usually manual patch works when these problems occur. But you can also try installing Patch log Viewer to check which file the patcher is "complaining about".
Follow the following steps and then apply the manual patch to see if the problem persists:

( 1 ) Go to the C:\Program Files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin.
( 2 ) Right-click on "Sims3Launcher.exe", select Cut
( 3 ) Right-click in an empty area on your Desktop and select Paste
( 4 ) Right-click on Sims3Launcher.exe, select Rename and append ".orig" at the end so the filename becomes "Sims3Launcher.exe.orig"
( 5 ) Go to C:\Program Files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin and copy and paste "Sims3Launcher.ex_" to the desktop.
( 6 ) Rename the "Sims3Launcher.ex_" in C:\Program Files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin to "Sims3Launcher.exe"
( 7 ) Open the launcher to see if it works.
( 8 ) Apply the manual patch.

So, now I am doing what you saying, but there is a think I noticed now. The file name originally had a name Sims3LauncherW.exe . Is that normal?

I am also downloading manual patch, but it will have to wait, so, I am trying alternatives.

Hello,

It's very normal to have "SimsLauncherW.exe" in the folder. And of course you will have to wait for the manual patch panel to pop up. It does take time to wait.

Hello,

Can you tell me what you use to unzip The Sims 3: Island Paradise torrent? Please use WinRAR only since other extracting tools could mess up your files.
If you continue to see this error message, use another web browser or delete browsing histories.

Yes, I use WinRAR for unzipping, and my browser is Google Chrome. I did everything, but I keep seeing this message. I never had problems with installing patches and games before.

Have you tried this and please switch to another browser when downloading manual patch (e.g. Firefox, Marathon, etc...).

Oh, now, I have another problem. Now, it says, when I enter main menu "No disc found. Insert your Sims 3 Island paradise disc"
