Crashing in CAS
Okay, I recently switched over from playing Sims 3 on a Mac, to playing it on a Windows 7 virtual machine within the Mac. Playing it on Mac didn't work, but using the virtual machine to play it worked a while back, so I decided to try again. Previously, Sims 3 kept crashing in CAS after the installing the newest expansions the last time I installed it on Windows, but I figured I could try one more time and see.
Everything worked fine at first, I got all expansions including the new Island Paradise, I got some custom content, and a bit of store content, and I decided to run the game. Everything was fine, however, when I tried making Sims in CAS, once again, it crashed (It almost always crashes around the clothes section).
So it crashes to desktop saying "Sims 3 has stopped working", and the error report says this:
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: TS3W.exe
Application Version: 0.2.0.210
Application Timestamp: 51b14ba5
Fault Module Name: MSVCR80.dll

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, as it all starts up well, and it's worked for a long time before. It seems after the new expansions it's started to crash. I've tried the DEP fix, and that didn't work so I'm kind of at a loss of what to do. Help?

Hello,
There are not many things that come into my mind.
(1) Have you applied the manual patch 1.55?
(2) Have you applied the latest Ultimate Fix?
(3) Have you tried all these solutions?
(4) Have you tried to clear the following caches:
-CASPartCache.package
-compositorCache.package
-scriptCache.package
-simCompositorCache.package
-socialCache.package
-the contents of the folders "WorldCaches" & "Thumbnails"
(5) Have you tried to rename the folder C:\Users\(your computer name)\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3?

Re: Crashing in CAS
Alright, I tried all of the things that I didn't already do, and when I started up Sims 3 I noticed that the speed was still the same loading up. But when I went into CAS it was for SURE a lot faster. I got a lot farther than before, but once again it crashed. I'm thinking that maybe the amount of CC might be too much, as when I switch sections and change what shows up is when it crashes. I think it could also be the computer somehow overloading, but I'm not sure. Also, I forgot to mention earlier, before it crashes, everything on the screen looks more pixel-y so maybe it's something graphics related. I think I might remove some stuff packs, or maybe is there a way to remove just clothes from a stuff pack? Because I still want the furniture, etc. I'm also thinking to remove some CC as well. I need your opinion. Thanks so much for helping!

Re: Crashing in CAS
I actually haven't tried #5, just because I'd like to keep my mods. But I will, and is there any way to locate the exact mod that's affecting the game?

Hello,
Yes, usually the mods are kept in C:\Users\(your computer name)\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods.
If you try method (5) your mod folder will be located in the renamed folder.
After renaming the folder and run the game again, try the following method:
