Simple Sims 3 Expansion Question

Sorry if this was already posted somewhere, or in the wrong spot. 

So I read on another post in this forum (and in the Sims 3 Installation Guide, which I read multiple times) that if you planned to install any Sims 3 expansions (which I am) that you shouldn't apply any cracks. However, in my haste to get the base game (this is my first time doing something like this-torrenting), I accidentally applied the base game's crack.

Now, my question: If I already applied the Sims 3 base game crack, will this mess up my installation of any of the Sims expansions?

Sorry if this seems like a dumb question but, like I said, I'm new to this and kind of worried, because I'm really looking forward to adding expansions.

Sure no problem. Use my new tool (see here).
First, with the latest Ultimate Fix, choose the first option (update).
When done, install all your packs, and update to 1.55.
Then run the tool again, choosing the second option.

Yes. It will ask you to select a folder, just give the folder of the unzipped UF.
And be sure it is the latest version (otherwise it won't be recognized by the tool).

Okay, so when I started up the Ultimate Fix Helper and clicked on the first option ("I want to Update The Sims 3") there was a pop-up that said that access to the Sims 3 Bin ("C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin\TS3.exe) was denied?
