Missing text in Main Menu.

I've been having the exact same problem, and now I'm wondering if the difference between the skuversions (the base
has 7 and the expansion 1) has something to do with it.

Hello,
Can you follow steps 2-4 of this guide again? And did you get any error message? If yes, what is it?

no errors. though i get this everytime i launch the game

Have you installed any expansions?

do different region codes have something to do with it?

Can you try the following (attempt these steps again even if you have):
(1) Apply the manual patch here.
(2) Download the latest Ultimate Fix here.
(3) Drag and drop the content of the #crack folder of the Ultimate Fix to C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin.
