No text showing on The Sims 3 Main Menu?! :(

Okay so I installed The Sims 3 base game and the Seasons expansion, as per the guide and I only used downloads from games4theworld..
First time I tried to play the game, everything loaded perfectly, til I got to the part where you choose to start a new game, continue a saved one & choose the town etc.. there's no text! I already downloaded and applied the manual patch and the Ultimate Fix, so I don't know why that happened.. Thinking I must have missed something, I completely uninstalled and deleted everything Sims related, re-downloaded everything and spent hours of careful reading and clicking to make sure I didn't miss out anything on the guide..
Just tried to play the game again and I have the same problem.. I searched the forum and found the solution about regedit, but when I try to navigate to the path, the "sims" folder isn't anywhere to be found in "software". Can anybody help me with this as it's really annoying me now.. I've re-installed TWICE now and I'm still having this problem

That problem usually occurs when using an outdated crack.
Can you kindly post a screenshot of the folder where you copied the crack to? (Preferably in "Details" view mode)

I used the crack that the guide links to, I'm guessing/hoping thats the right one?
I tried to post a screenshot, but it says the message is too long But basically it went into This PC > Acer (C:) > Program Files (x86) > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Game > Bin (sorry if that doesnt help aha, it wont let me post a screenshot)

I actually wanted to see the creation dates. Can you give me the creation dates of the TS3W.exe and the TSLHost.dll files?

What "guide" are you referring to exactly?

Creation dates are both 14/10/2013. And the guide on "How to install the Sims 3 correctly"

That's what I thought: you are using an outdated crack. Please re-download the latest version of the Ultimate Fix, as described in step 4-5 here: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly

yeah that's the one i downloaded and used in the screenshot the first time. just tried it again anyway as you said, and i'm still having the same problem

Still got the same problem My friend thought he was helping by buying The Sims 3 Pets for me.. Still need to download the base game anyway so I still get the same issue every single time. I'm considering just buying it legit.. but then I'd rather buy The Sims 4 if I'm paying lmao. Thanks for trying to help guys, but since this issue still happens, I'll be buying the Sims
