Missing menu text Empty Missing menu text

Post by Guest Sun 16 Feb 2014, 01:11

I'm not sure if I'm stupid or just unlucky, I have followed the steps in https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly
multiple times, uninstalling and reinstalling, I have applied the manual patch and put the ultimate fix in the correct folder and all that stuff.

I currently have the base game, pets and university life downloaded from this website.

If someone tells me I've done it wrong or to try it again I am seriously going to fume, the number of times I have tried to do this reading and re-reading the instructions leaves no room for error.  I really want to play /: any more suggestions ?  I am running windows 7 with plenty of RAM and disc space so that's not an issue

Hello,

Actually, there is not much else left to suggest. Please, make sure that you actually copy the two files inside the #crack-foder of the Ultimate fix, to the base game location (step #4 in the guide you posted). And you have to REPLACE ALL EXISTING FILES. Wink  This means, you choose "copy and replace", when you paste the right files into the base game location. This will delete all old files and put in the new ones.

The only other explanation is the solution here: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t859-the-sims-3-text-balloons-not-showing-missing-fix

Good luck though - and keep us updated !
