Sims 3 not responding. [SOLVED]

I try to open the game from the launcher, but i only get a black screen and a blue mouse circle on the screen, then it said that the program is not responding. I followed the steps in the ultimate fix. How can i fix this?

Hello,

Please redo steps 2-4 of this guide. If this doesn't work somehow, delete the following in C:\Users\(your computer name)\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3:

-CASPartCache.package
-compositorCache.package
-scriptCache.package
-simCompositorCache.package
-socialCache.package
-the contents of the folders "WorldCaches" & "Thumbnails"
-the content of the folder "CurrentGame.sims3"

Do you have any mods/CC installed?

it's working now, thanks a lot, i don't know why it didn't work in the first place since i did all of those steps, and tried then again with the ones you said, but i guess third time's the charm. thank you:cheers:
