My Sim disappeared Empty My Sim disappeared

Hello. 

Whenever I travel my sim just disappears. When they're in their own world, everything seems fine and it only only happens whenever I travel. Can someone tell me how to fix this? I recently updated to the latest patch and removed any mods before playing the game.

What do you mean by disappearing? Can you show us a screenshot to further illustrate?

Oh, I'm so sorry! I should have done that earlier! Noob 
My sim's portrait doesn't even appear. I tried resetsim but nothing happened. Can't even quit from the game when this happens.

Hello,

Download the latest Porter from Nraas. Apply it and use it to teleport your sims instead. Before that I suggest you rename the folder C:\Users\(your computer name)\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 and start a new save to see if there are any differences, to see if this happens to only old saves.
