No game disc found?

When I try to play the game, I get the notification that no game disc was found. Also, when I try to add .sims3pack into the game I get this:


I've tried running the TS3 application in C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin but when the game loads all the uh, drop down bars are completely empty. I followed the installation guide, the only deviation I can think of is that I installed The Sims 3 70s, 80s, & 90s Stuff pack last. I'm not really good with the technical side of things so I apologise in advance for this.
