"Modified Files Please Reinstall" when updating Late Night- Please help!

I have been trying to download the store content or things from the exchange, but it keeps saying I need to update Late Night before I can install them - even though I do have later expansion packs i.e generations....

all the other packs will update individually okay, and the base game is up to date, but this one downloads then whilst installing says "Modified Files found, please re-install"..... anyone help ?

I am not familiar with macs, but to avoid "please update your game before installing" error (or something similar), have a look at this thread.

Do you mind if I ask you the source(s) of all of your downloads regarding The Sims 3?
