Missing text fix found.

Posting here because I didn't see any other place to put in a fix for a problem.
So, I recently got a new PC and my friend wanted Sims 3 as well, so I got everything installed and had the elusive missing text problem. For my friends computer however, I selected the location as United States when installing, because I remembered seeing GB as a default Locale in regedit but the language was set as us. And presto it worked perfectly. (I re-installed it on my own pc and it worked amazingly)
To be clear, this is how I did it:
1)Install Sims 3, when asked for location, select United States of America.
2)Install like outlined in the helpful guide found everywhere on this forum.
3)That's it.

It can also be caused by outdated cracks or some incompatible mods too.

Hey, thanks for the response.
The fix you linked did not work for me, because I was searching all over the place.
The crack I used was from the ultimate fix, because that's the most convenient one, and when installing the game, I didn't have any mods installed.
But yeah, I can see that there is already a fix thread about it, so sorry for a double post, but this may work for someone who can't fix it with the above fix. Cheers.
