The Sims 3 CAW Black UI

Im Try To Edit my World in game but when it start i dont see the ui box its black and when i try to build a house in a lot it disappear and when im try to close it it say the sims 3 stopped working damn this program is pretty sucks

Hello,
Do you know how to update your graphics drivers ?
(assuming they aren't up-to-date yet). Also, does it make a difference if you lower a few graphics settings, in the in-game options menu ? Lower the resolution, lot detail and edge smoothing, for a start.
