Issues installing The Sims 1: Complete Collection
I have just downloaded and unzipped the package and went to try and install it as I was told on the video. However, once I try to open 'Setup_English' (which I already use on compatibility mode Windows XP) this message pops up:
"Setup is having trouble shutting down the autoplay program. Please restart your computer and try again."
Now I re-started my laptop and it still pops up.
My laptop runs on Windows 8.

Hello,
Did you extract with WinRAR ? Please re-extract with WinRAR, if you used another program. Also, in the extracted package, there is a "start.exe". Can you try that one for installing The Sims 1 ? (maybe even in compatibility mode ?).

Yes, extracted it with WinRar and the start.exe won't work. Not even with the compatibility mode.

What about right-clicking on the start.exe and choosing "run as Administrator" ?
