FPS drops after installing World Adventures and High-End Loft Stuff Empty FPS drops after installing World Adventures and High-End Loft Stuff

After installing World Adventures and High-End Loft Stuff my normal FPS of 50-60 drops down to the 10's. I've already uninstalled World Adventures and High-End Loft stuff and reset the SKU to 7 but the problem persists.

Unless your computer is rather low-end in terms of performance, adding expansions shouldn't influence FPS and graphics performance. Also, changing the SKU doesn't influence that either. That said, I'm not sure about that issue myself. For now, in My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3, delete the following stuff:


-CASPartCache.package
-compositorCache.package
-scriptCache.package
-simCompositorCache.package
-socialCache.package
-plus the contents of the folders "WorldCaches" & "Thumbnails"


Re-start the game then and see if anything improved. You may even turn off your anti-virus program completely before playing The Sims 3. 


Can you also see if the same happens in a NEW savegame ?
