My Sims 3 doesn't display the main menu icons! [SOLVED]

Hello guys!
First of all, thank you for your amazing work with all these games, specially The Sims 3.
I downloaded most of the sims expansions and stuff packs from your site and I installed it according to the Instruction guide in every game. After I did that, I started the game and when it shows the main menu it doesn't show the icons!
I took a photo, so there it is:

Any ideas how to fix it?

ONLY do the instructions from step #2 to #4 here.
The instructions inside the expansions are outdated. Also, don't use all of the folders in the Ultiamte fix; you ONLY need the #crack-folder.If you carefully follow the steps from #2 to #4, you'll be fine. Good luck !

Now, I have another problem. The game crashes. I search here about that and I found a thread about it. I did the step about the DEP, but it crashed again.. Any help? I'm using windows 8.1, on a Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3337U CPU @1.80 GHz 1.80 GHz with 6 GB of RAM laptop...

If you want, try it. If you have Windows Vista,7 or 8, try running the game from the TSW.exe in the base game location. Usually that's C:\Program files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin.
Right-click on the TS3W.exe and choose "run as Administrator". Beyond that, there is not much else to say...are you sure you did the steps I mentioned correctly ?
And is your computer strong enough for that game ?

I put all exe files in all folders of the games to run as administrator and I started play through TSW.exe in compability mode for Windows 8 (I'm using 8.1) and the game didn't crash.
If the game don't crash again I guess the problem is resolved.
