No towns and no menu settings Empty No towns and no menu settings

so i installed a few expansion packs and then came up with the cd issue so i did this fix https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly  now when i open my game there is no towns listed and the menu has no settings and i hit create new it does nothing....any ideas???

Hi there,

If you follow those steps correctly, it will fix your problem.
You probably did not re-download the manual patch and the Ultimate Fix. An incompatible crack will cause this issue.

So I just tried that now when I hit play to start the game a disc authentication failure pops up....

The second file tslhost.dll is not going in the folder ist coming up with you need permission to perform this action you'll need to provide administrator permission to move this folder it says.

I'm there. I got the file in but still saying disc authentication failure no game disc found please insert into the future disc

Hi, I have pretty much the same problem, but also a script error.....I have gone through the fix and the manual update, thoroughly, twice now, including a full reinstall and still having problems. 

Any help is much appreciated

Which script error are you getting and at which point does it show up?  Also, which crack folder are you using to crack the game with?

Are you still getting that error, or not anymore ? If so, have you also tried de-activating your anti-virus software completely, and then re-applying the #crack of the Ultimate fix ? Also, make sure to add the whole "Program files(x86)"-folder to the "exceptions" of your anti-virus software. In order to avoid havign your crack-files deleted by the anti-virus.

Hi there,

The script error is an error that shows up when you open the Game Launcher. It can not be fixed, as it's caused by a "bug" on the The Sims 3 page that is loaded on the Launcher. EA has to fix it, but let's assume they won't.
The error does not affect the game in any way.

Please, follow the instructions of the post below, it should fix your problem!

Or, if you know how, load the iso of the newest expansion you have using PowerIso into a virtual drive and let us know if the error goes away...
