Sims 3 High End Loft Stuff error

I have World Adventures installed then installed HELS. I updated and copied the files exactly as the installation guide said to do. The launcher doesn't come up at all when I try to launch and I get a pop up saying Sims3Launcher has stopped working. I've also tried starting the game right from the .exe but the screen goes black and then crashes to the desktop. I've been able to get the Launcher up and running if I don't use the cracked files but then the game won't launch because it needs the disk. Has anyone else had this sort of problem and if so, what can I do to fix it?

I was just coming here to try to find a solution for this problem myself. I had everything working fine until an update tried to go through today. I got the invalid file error, tried the fix for it, got it updated, and now my launcher won't load, as soon as I double click the icon I get a windows error telling me Sims3Launcher has stopped working.

I have the retail version of Sims3 installed, with the games4theworld version of WA and HELS installed.

EDIT: I ended up getting this problem fixed: I uninstalled HELS and reinstalled it. I think I confused the game because I was copying the files back for the launcher as it was trying to load the launcher (I forgot it tries to load the launcher after finishing up an update). However I am still having problems because the fix files are still giving me "Invalid File", which I assume has something to do with the fact that this is a new update and not the last set of updates.

For both cases, I recommend you uninstall HELS. I do not recommend people downloading and Installing this expansion, because it gives a lot of problems, but not really something useful for the Game itself.
So, uninstall HELS and then see if The Sims 3 still works.

Why do you offer something that you don't recommend people install and won't help troubleshoot?

If you like the few other stuff that comes with HELS, you should download it. If you do so and you can't get it to work, contact our Live Support through MSN and ask them to see if they can fix the problem for you through TeamViewer. If you just want to have fun without to much trouble, just don't Install HELS.

I only installed WA. But the game launcher doesn't work after applying Crack 4. Please help.

This looks like a new problem that has been caused by a new released Update for The Sims 3. We're still doing research on this problem, so please keep an eye on this Forum, since we'll post a fix here.

I had the same problems as above, so I backed up my save files and downloads and uninstalled everything and reinstalled the base game and WA. I want to patch WA by downloading the individual patches except for this new one, but I get the "Invalid File" problem, and I'm using your fix and I don't know what's wrong. So I uninstalled WA, and now it says "Unable to connect to the EA Download Manager".

I have just the base game and when I try to play it, the launcher exits but the game does not start.

Also it says it can't connect to the EA Download Manager.
