Unable to start game service initialization failed (0x065d0274) [SOLVED]
firstly, please dont shoot me if i'm posting into the wrong thread, im new to forums.. secondly sorry if this has already been answered, but i havent found anything helpful to me..
I have downloaded base game + all expansions from games4theworld, all worked perfectly, then last night i decided to download stuff from the exchange (which i have done previously with no issues). i try installing these items/playing the game and i get the error message in the title. i run through and done everything in every *fix* ive found online, but nothing has worked...
also, i cant find the saves folder either? because i was going to try uninstalling the sims and reinstalling, but i want to keep my most recent word/house/family.
if anyone could help with either id be forever greatful!

The saves for the Sims are in the My documents in the EA folder, Normally this path - Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3.
You should see folders such as Saves, SavedSims, and SavedOutfits.
As for the error, try this, in that same folder, look for and delete these files, compositorCache.package,scriptCache.package, simCompositorCache.package and CasPartCache.package. And in the launcher go to Installed Content and tick "run without custom content", and see if the error still appears.
