Time Lapse. Empty Time Lapse.

Whilst playing, my sims will become inactive, i am unable to click on anything, or anyone, but can look around the world. The time still ticks away, then after 4 to 5 minutes (real time), the game resets itself, and the time goes back to when the inactivity started and normal play resumes.

Hello and sorry for the late reply,


If you have any mods or custom content for Sims 4, please remove those items for now and see if you notice any improvements. Also, navigate to My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4 and delete the file localthumbcache.package there. Re-start the game again and see if you notice any gameplay changes.

Hi, thanks for the reply. No mods or cc.
Managed to solve issue by going to My Documents/Electronic Arts and changing name of the sims 4 folder.

If you still have the old renamed folder, copy the "Saves"-subfolder into your fresh "The Sims 4" folder and see if your old saves work. Smile  That is, if you have old savefiles that you want to continue playing with.
