Updating Sims 4. [SOLVED]

How do you update from patch 1.0.797.20 to the latest patch? (1.6.69.1020) I really want to download cc but I need to update..

I downloaded the crack from here (games4theworld torrent crack), and edited the GameVersion file to 1.6.69.1020. Then i opened it and it showed an error.

Can one of you guys please help me?

Whoops, I already found the solution for my problem.
I needed to install The Sims 4 Ultimate Fix to update Updating Sims 4. [SOLVED] 637235714

I needed to install The Sims 4 Ultimate Fix to update

Welcome to the forum and sorry for the belated reply,

I have been absent for quite a while, and hence I could not get back to any messages. But yes, you always need to take the folders from the Ultimate fix download, and copy them over to your Sims 4 install location. When prompted, always select "merge folders" and "replace all existing files".

That way, the game will be updated, and any new expansions/DLC will be added too. Beyond that, there is no need to do anything else, like editing .ini-files, or stuff like that.
