Entirely blank main menu not allowing me to start playing Empty Entirely blank main menu not allowing me to start playing

SO clarification before i begin:
I used the manual update to get the game updated to the final patch
YES i reread the steps througoly and made absolutely sure i knew what i was doing
YES i searched the forums to see if anyone else has this issue and so far the only person who did never responded with their results when given one option to fix it
AND YES i have tried turning it on and off again. 
 I updated my game using the manual patch just a few minutes ago and when i started the game and got to the main menu everything was blank and some images were stretched. The drop down menu for the town list was blank, the settings were blank, and it wouldn't let me start a new game. All i could do was exit using the big button. Pls help. Why.
***Important info i left out sorry
OS: Win 8.1
Stuff i was doing prior: Absolutely nothing. Played the game fine no mods no nothing.

Hi there! Did you re-apply the fix after you updated your game?

Sorry for that, I wonder why I didn't see your post earlier, since I have been checking up the unanswered posts all the time and I did not see any pending for Sims 3 (I don't give support for Sims 4 yet)...

Anyway, if it doesn't fix, there are a few topics in the forum for "blank bubble" or some stuff like that, where the menus became blank and people found some fixes that you can also try (just search for bubble in the forum and you will find a bunch of topics related).

Please, in any case, let me know if you got your problem solved or if you need further assistance, and have a great simming experience!

Well, you most likely didn't do something right. Have another look at this topic here and repeat the steps from #2 to #5:

I assume you got all your Sims 3 games fom Games4TheWorld ? If yes, then there is no need (technically) to uninstall anything. Just do these steps I mentioned properly, and see if you can get the game working again.

lol i ran the .exe for the patch and now my launcher won't even start.

As far as i remember the game was not downloaded from here. All i know is it's the reloaded crack and hasnt been updated past the earliest update. No mods i haven't attempted to update with any other method, this is the only site i use for updates.

Hi again!

Please take a look at the search below and, if it doesn't work, make a backup of your Sims folder (inside of Documents), uninstall your game and all expansions, then please watch my video and download the Complete Collection and the other stuff I have linked in my video's description (all Games 4 the World Content) following the instructions there (you can jump the repetitive parts where I install expansion by expansion if you want).

Honestly, I would consider seriously the second option, since you did not get the Games 4 the World version, meaning you might have a bad copy of the game, sorry.

honestly i wouldnt be surprised if it is just a bad copy, the only reason i havent gotten this version of the game is because i can't torrent. if there was a mega.co.nz link or something i'd go for it. the site i use to get torrent files safely has a 1 gig per torrent limit.

What do you mean safely? Does your ISP block you from downloading torrents? Can you try a VPN service, perhaps a proxy? I am sorry but we don't have our stuff available like that (from a web server)...

You gotta find a way around it, so you can download the right stuff Wink

ISP is extremely anal about it, and i can't find a good VPN. Plus i can't find a decent torrenting client lol.
