Origin error Windows 10
Hello G4TW members/mods,
First of all its good to be back after a long time. First of all I can't thank you guys enough for the effort you put in this community to help everyone out of their problems. I barely have problems but when I do, I can't seem to fix them myself so this is why I called for you guys. I know this issue is very common and a real pain when it comes to fixing, but the issue is about the Origin error when starting up the game. I applied the Ultimate Fix several times, windows defender is turned off. My Panda Antivirus has already been set to exclude certain kind of files/folders for the Sims 4. No files were found in the quarantine so no file is actually deleted. I wonder if there is another fix for this, I would appreciate it. I'm stuck on this issue and I think you guys (hopefully) can help to sort this problem out.
Thank you so much!

Hi again, @Kai-ShockWave!
Did you also move the folder out Electronic Arts, as instructed? Remember that the exclusions also need to be updated after the folder it's moved, so they point to the new location instead of the other one.
Are you sure you don't have any other security programs installed on your PC?

Hello SeoY,
Oh I must have read that wrong, since when was it necessary to change the folder location? What do I need to do and where to place it?
Thank you!

It needs to be moved outside of Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts, so it ends up at Program Files (x86)\The Sims 4. That is outlined in the Installation Guide on the latest Ultimate Fix, here:

SeoY,
It seemed to do the trick for me and i changed the goal to what to search for on the desktop shortcut to Program Files(x86)\The sims 4. Seems to work smooth. So when like a new expansion pack becomes available i need to install it in there as well?
Thank you brother.

Re: Origin error Windows 10
I'm having the same issue as well. But I have moved the folder to (x86)\ but it is still saying I need Origin to play the game. I have it whitelisted in my windows firewall but I deleted my free AVG antivirus and it seems my malwarebytes has expired (I thought I had a torrent of the full version) So I don't have any antivirus to whitelist it from.
The base game and GTW work fine, but as soon as I apply the ultimate fix, origin pops up and then I get a message. Can someone help?
Edit: I also have windows 10

Re: Origin error Windows 10
I've had this problem as well and my solution for it is to open the Spa Day and Cool Kitchen Stuff download. I got this about a month ago and I'm not sure if there is still access to it as a download. Anyway, I just open it with Winrar and I move all of the folder files into my Sims 4 folder under the OS (C:)\Program Files (x86). It takes a while, but I've done it twice and it works for me
I'm positive that the games4theworld online staff (i don't know what to call them) is working on this, since it has become a pretty big problem.
