Origin is not running on Windows 10
Hi!
It's me again! I just downloaded the crack for The Sims 4 and did everything it told me to! Well almost, after installing and applying the cracks I learnt how to add the files to my Windows Defender Exclusion List to stop the 'Origin is not running' problem. It kept on failing, I even moved it to the Program Files x86 instead of the electronic arts folder and added it again but without success.
Can somebody please help me? I'm following all the rules in the tutorial (I think).
Thank you (p.s if this is the wrong forum to post it in, I will remove it)

Re: Origin is not running on Windows 10
hi there! while waiting for a certified helper / someone with more experience to come along, i hope i can help somehow.
Out of curiosity, did you install the Get To Work (GTW) as well? If you did install, does it work when you installed the base game + GTW only? If it did, there might be a problem to your ultimate fix.
Secondly, do you have any other anti-virus running on your pc? By default there should be one + windows defender. Have you tried turning the windows defender off while downloading and installing the files? In my desperation i actually turn off everything (anti-virus + windows defender)
It seems that you had already moved the Sims 4 files out from the original path. Check to see if you have RldOrigin.dll in your Games folder. It it's missing, it means that something has clean your files when you downloaded them.

Re: Origin is not running on Windows 10
I have the RldOrigin.dll in but I have no idea what you mean by installing the Get to Work as I thought that would be included in the fix. I'll try redownloading with the Windows Defender off.

Unfortunately the fix doesn't contain the GTW files. There's a GTW torrent you can download at their site. Try to see if it works.

Re: Origin is not running on Windows 10
Hi...I downloaded the GTW file, i started over again and it seemed to work until I installed the other DLC's. It kept saying origin is not running even though I turned Windows Defender off and added the files to the acception list. So confused right now....awaiting further orders.Ageha wrote:Unfortunately the fix doesn't contain the GTW files. There's a GTW torrent you can download at their site. Try to see if it works.

Re: Origin is not running on Windows 10
It seems that you base + GTW works fine so the problem is most likely the fix or applying the ultimate fix.
This thread has replies from sim helpers so their explanations is more clear than mine. I hope reading that helps somehow.
