any fix on Island Paradise freezing?

A while back I tried to play Island Paradise on my mac. Followed all the steps in the guide. But there was a freezing/skipping bug and glitch with Island Paradise, so I eventually gave up on it.

so I was just wondering if anyone found a fix for that yet.

Can you elaborate more about the freezing/skipping bug?
Have you tried playing it without any CC or sims3pack?
Hm, is anything else running in the background while you were playing sims?

I have Island Paradise, and it did not froze on me yet.

Hi! I am having the same problem as the above post. 

The rest of the expansion packs seem to play fine but when I play Island Paradise it freezes every 5-10 seconds for anywhere from 1-10 seconds. It's not unplayable but it is really annoying. 

I applied the ultimate fix to try and sort it but it didn't seem to do anything. 
I have all the expansion packs installed.

EDIT: Not all of the game freezes - the water, rain, music, even the green diamond keeps spinning.  However, the sims freeze and I can't access any of the controls i.e. changing time speed or switching between tabs. Also, if a swim goes swimming and I cancel the action they tend to swim everywhere which then means they take ages to get anywhere! Very frustrating.

I myself have this problem if I play in Isla Paradiso. I think it's about that neighborhood that keeps everything so slow... 

And unfortunately, there is no fix for that. As there is no fix for anything for Sims 3 on Mac
