Now I followed everything to the Guide on how to install it on a Mac. I have yet to set up or install The expansion. Could that be the reason. I also tried the option of moving the The Sims 4 folder out of the Electronic Arts folder it wouldn't load when I did that. So I had to put the file bag and he gave me this error even before I move the file. I also use the Ultimate Fix with the help of the Guide.

I have now installed the expansion using the guide provided with the expansion plus the other Guide.  I get the same error message. Why is the version to new and it can't be loaded.

Hi! If you were using a PC, I would ask you to rename your "The Sims 4" folder inside your Documents. I guess you can probably do something similar on a Mac?

Please, try something "like that" on your Mac and let us know if you got the game working (at least, after that you figure out how to recover your old saves)...
