Hello and welcome to the forum,

I split your post, and moved it to the right section. For the future, please post in the correct section straight away (click on "open a new topic"). Normally, our policy is to delete questions from the Fixes-posts, but I'll make an exception. Smile

If you correctly replace all of the existing files, when installing "Get together", then you should be fine normally.

So what happens when you try starting the game then ? Are you getting an error message ? If it doesn't start up, have you tried turning off your anti-virus (permanently, if possible), and then re-applying the files from "Get together" ?

Thanks for the exception Very Happy and sorry ... Maybe I clicked the wrong thing but when I tried to post elsewhere I got an error message. And anyway my game starts fine except it's just like it was before, I have all my packs except Get Together and Spooky Stuff. It's as if I didn't do anything. I haven't actually gone passed the main screen to see if I've got the update with the new UI and stuff, so I'm not sure if it has the update or not, but when I got all the pack-pop-ups Get Together and Spooky Stuff arnt there.

I did as the instructions said, (my file location was already correct so I didnt need to move anything) and then I highlighted the necessary files from the .rar and drag & dropped them into my sims 4 folder where I told it to copy and replace and then when it's finished, the new folders that didn't already exist in my file (SP04 and EP02) don't show up. It's like my computer keeps skipping them for some reason. Then I extracted the .rar to my desktop in a new folder then tried copying and replacing from folder-to-folder instead of .rar-to-folder but it was the same result. I even tried dragging ONLY the two folders it keeps skipping and the little copy progress bubble showed up and appeared to be copying but when it finished the folders weren't there. Then I checked all the folders within "The Sims 4" to make sure I hadn't accidentally dropped it into one of the pack's folders, but that isn't the case. I don't get any error messages from either my PC or winrar when copying, and I don't get any error messages when running my game, but Get Together and Spooky Stuff aren't there.

I don't know what the issue is Sad

And yes, I turned my anti-virus off before starting just to be safe, though the folder is added to my exceptions

Sorry to hear that, but the solution to your problem is most likely something very trivial or simple. Maybe you mis-clicked when prompted to replace the existing files and folders, but I don't really know.

Try moving your install folder "The Sims 4" directly onto your desktop. Then re-apply the "Get together"-files, replacing the existing stuff when prompted. Then see what happens next. Good luck again !

When I tried to move the  folder, the little file-explorer bubble popped up (as usual) but then it said '0 bytes' and "finished' immediately but nothing was on the desktop. Similar to what happens when I try to move things into the folder.... I think my sims 4 folder may be somehow corrupted? I provide administrator consent to alter the folder but it just does not let me move the folder or add things to it. My computer is pretty crappy to be honest, but I copy and move files into other folders all the time and never experience this.

I'm currently trying to copy the Sims 4 folder to the desktop instead of moving it.... it appears to be working normally, not doing its weird 0 bytes thing. It's copying right now. Will this achieve the same thing? And should I then delete Program Files>Sims 4...? I don't wanna confuse my computer with two locations of the same game, but I'm also hesitant/afraid to delete my main game file.

Update; Now copying the Get Together files into Desktop>The Sims 4 .... appears to be working!!!! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

And so.... I should delete the 'The Sims 4' folder from Program Files x86 now, correct? and I guess my desktop icon will no longer be a valid path? So where should I go to launch my game after my Get Together finishes copying???

Thank you so much for helping me!!! And for making the games so easy to obtain and install <3 you're awesome Very Happy

AHHHHHHHHHHH YAAAAAAAY!!!!!! So my folders actually copied and are there!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So my Desktop>TheSims4 Folder has my update/EP but my Program Filesx86>The Sims 4 does not have my update and my folder also seems to be corrupted.

Okay.. so I just tried to delete my Program Files>The Sims 4, and the same thing as with copying, I get the admin confirm bubble, I OK it, the progress bubble comes up and then it 'finishes' but the folder is still there, I also tried to rename it as not to confuse my computer but again, it did not retain the new name.

So, what do I do with this? Will it mess up my game having 2 The Sims 4 folders?? and how do I create a new launch icon that knows to take my desktop folder? (Or even if its OK to run my game with the old folder existing, do you have any idea how to delete this by chance?? Because 12gb of files I'm not using are really annoying)

I'm planning on taking my computer to a repair place soon as it's been running pretty crappily lately, so hopefully my corrupted folder is something they can fix Sad ... but will I be able to run my game??  Thanks again for all your help Smile

If you can't get rid of the folder in Program files(x86), the let it be for the moment, and start your game from the Desktop-folder then. As a temporary workaround. Smile
