The Sims 4 won't start up (Fresh Install). [SOLVED]

I have the sims installed in C:/Program Files (x86)/The Sims 4
This has the latest version of the game, with Get To Work and Get Together from Games 4the World installed. When I start it up, or try to, it immediately pops up with The Sims 4 has stopped working.

I read that using the 4gb patch caused things to go a little wonky. When I installed this last, that proved true, since it kept telling me I needed Origin running (which it was in offline mode), so I'm not using it this time around. Is there something that can be done about this?

Have you downloaded and applied the Ultimate Fix? - I know it says that if you are installing the Get Together Pack you don't need it HOWEVER, I did a complete install like you mention and mine wasn't working either. I just downloaded and applied the fix and it's now working
