I NEED HELP DOWNLOADING EXPANSIONS.

so i just discovered this site today. i already have sims 3 downloaded, cause i bought it. but im trying to figure out how to get the expansions from this site 
help?!

Hello,
G4TW uploads torrents, so first you'll need a program that can work with these, I recommend Utorrent. You can get the torrent files from The Pirate Bay, but for now you may want to get them from http://www.games4theworld.org/index_files/downloads.htm. If for some reason you want to get the torrent files from The Pirate bay, you can find the link to G4TW pages in my signature.
Load the torrent files into Utorrent. Just click them and Utorrent will open and ask which parts you want to download, just click "ok" at the bottom and Utorrent will start downloading the file you're looking for.
Depending on your connection, it can take a few hours up to a couple of days before each download is finished. You may also want to see if you can forward a port.
After your download is finished, you can close Utorrent, but this is frowned upon. This exists because people share with others, so you may want to keep seeding (uploading a finished torrent) until you've seeded at least 1 copy. The share ratio tells you how much you've uploaded in comparison to how much you've downloaded.
Once you have all the expansions you want, download the latest fix which will allow you to update the game to the latest version.
Before you start installing, read this post very carefully to ensure a problem free install.
Last but not least, you should use winRAR only to extract the files once you've downloaded them.
And if you run into any problem while installing, drop us a line on the forum, we're happy to help and there are several ways in which we can assist you.

okay ive download a few expansions! im just confused as to how to extract them? can you give me the step by step on how to do that! ive tried looking for posts but nobody really explains it :/

Please open the .rar file you downloaded using only WinRar, which can be downloaded from www.games4theworld.org . (If you use any other software than WinRar, like WinZip or 7-zip, the files will get messed up!)
When you've opened the file using WinRar, select áll the files in it and drag & drop them to a folder on your Desktop. When the extraction is done, close the .rar file and open the folder on your Desktop.
Now, start by reading the included "# Installation Guide.txt" and you should be able to get the game to work yourself. Good luck!
