Hi!

Yes I have tried this post!

I have re-installed the game 4 times, followed every step including applying fixes and moving the sims 4 folder to the program files x 86 folder and still keep coming up with the same error, its very frustrating as a few months ago the game worked perfectly so I'm pretty much lost on what to do now WhatDidUJustCallMe? only wish I had never uninstalled it. I also have no origin installed and no anti virus programs installed.

Hello,

Ok, at this point it's probably best to wait for someone (a.k.a. @Carlos) with TS4 experience to reply to your post. I'm afraid I can't tell you more than I already have.

Hello, are you using Windows 10 ? If yes, you do have an anti-virus program installed. And that is Windows Defender, and the exclusions must be configured there too. After that, please re-apply whatever DLC-pack you added to your game last.

If you have Windows 7 or 8, Windows Defender can be turned off easily, see the guide here

And just to make sure, you also moved the install folder of the game directly under Program files (x86) ?

And you also tried disconnecting the internet, and running the game too ? If you want, you can also try uninstalling and re-installing the game one more time and see if it works, but other than that, I'm unsure what else can be done.

I'm thinking that maybe the firewalls that are often part of wireless router firmware, can interfere with this too (I had this problem, where my router-firewall even blocked uTorrent-uploads). Feel free to do some research on your router-model, to see if it has a firewall included and if yes, how to configure it.

This pirated Sims 4 game isn't working too well, I'm afraid. Did you have any other anti-virus installed in the past ? Maybe the error is even caused by a Windows update, that could also be the case...
