When you have 64-bits Windows, don't worry
With 32-bits Windows however you have to "teach" your new anti-virus program to leave the folder Game\Bin at peace.

No, you won´t have any problems.
Microsoft Defender will deactivate itself when you install new antivirus.
Be sure to add Sims4.exe or whatever executable you use to antivirus exception because antivirus sometimes detects it is a virus, but its false positive.
Happy simming!

Hello again,

Do you really need an(other) anti-virus program though ? Edit: and yes, you definitely have to learn how to configure exclusions properly, in that program.
