Problems saving the game, in Moonlight Falls. [SOLVED]
I have no cracked Sims 3 games, They've all been bought including stuff packs. the issue that i'm having is that my game wont save. It's not throwing off any error codes though, and i cant open any files under the save folder to look for any .bad flies because im not able to do the initial save to find out if there is an issue there.
I purchased another expansion pack last night having some hope that maybe it would fix the problem and it kind of did, because i was able to save my game in Isla Paradiso. So ive come to a thought that maybe moonlight falls might be corrupt? because that is were i was trying to save with. The game runs just fine for me, no other problems, just not being able to save.

Hello,
Are you getting an infinite saving loop, or what exactly is happening when you attempt to save the game ? Have you tried the option "save as" ? And are you logged onto the computer as administrator - it could also be caused by file/folder permission errors.
If you have any third-party anti-virus program, I would also turn them off for the moment, and see if that improves anything.
Lastly (even though it might sound dumb), is there enough free filespace on your C: drive ?

it just keeps going on and on and on. for the initial saving of the game there is no "save as" option.Carlos wrote:awolfer wrote:I have no cracked Sims 3 games, They've all been bought including stuff packs. the issue that i'm having is that my game wont save. Hello,
Have you tried deleting the worldcaches in the folder C:\...\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\WorldCaches? It doesn't hurt to get rid of the other cache files as well. The game will regenerate fresh ones when you start it.

If you think it's a problem with Moonlight Falls (only), try uninstalling your "Supernatural"-expansion pack and then re-boot the computer (!!!). After the re-boot, re-install the expansion, re-apply the 1.67 manual patch and also the "Ultimate fix" here:
https://goo.gl/STC0zS
You only need to copy and paste the 2 files inside the #Crack-folder, to C:\Program files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin. And of course replace the existing files when prompted.

Re: Problems saving the game, in Moonlight Falls. [SOLVED]
ive tried doing the ultimate fix and it messed up my game and wouldnt even open the launcher
side note: idk if this has anything to do affecting the fix.. i installed all my games from origin
Update: i did the uninstall, reboot, and re install. and when i tried to do the manual patch ti tells me that there is no version of the sims 3 on this computer and in order for it to patch the base game needs to be installed... which it is

Yes, I made a mistake before: you cannot apply the manual patch on an Origin-version of the base game. That said, the Ultimate fix should work nonetheless. If not, right-click on your Sims 3 game in the Origin-library and choose "repair game".
Then try re-downloading & re-installing the "Supernatural" expansion if you haven't done so yet.
One more thing: do you have the "store fixes" installed ?

Then take out the store fixes, and if the "repair game"-option does not work, try uninstalling and re-downloading the base game of The Sims 3 (on Origin) one more time. Do NOT apply the Ultimate fix this time.
Now see if the saving works.

Re: Problems saving the game, in Moonlight Falls. [SOLVED]
is it possible that the store fixes had anything to do with it?

With the saving problems ? Yes, it seems that the store fixes in combination with newer (NRAAS) mods can cause problems in the saving process. Hence I suggested to remove the store fixes for now, just to see if the saving works fine without them.

If you have legit Sims 3 games, the (non-decrapped) store items should be fine, and there is no need for store fixes in your case. As for an update of the store fixes, see my reply to this question here.
Feel free to get back to us again anytime you have more questions. Have fun ! Problem solved, topic closed.
