Unabled to start because origin is currently not running. Empty Unabled to start because origin is currently not running.

I uninstalled my game and i uninstalled origin, but i reinstalled my game but not origin, do i have to download origin for it to work and just leave it offline?

Hello again,


You don't need Origin at all. Are you sure you moved the installation folder of The Sims 4 out of C:\Program files (x86)\Electronic Arts, and directly under C:\Program files (x86) ?

Just want to say, that, that is exactly the fix to the issue.
Doing this in the late hours of the night, I forgot to do that final step, and was encountering the same issue. After re-reading everything I realized. I just checked and everything works perfectly.
