Origin forces Sims 4 to update before playing Empty Origin forces Sims 4 to update before playing

I cannot seem to find a way around this.  I've turned off auto updates but when I try to play the Sims it forces me to update before I can play.

Hello and welcome to the forum @skorup,

Have you tried going into "Offline Mode" in Origin, and starting the game then ? But apart from that, I'm not sure if there is another way to skip these Origin game-updates (other than using pirated versions), I'm sorry.
