Sims 3 stops responding at loading screen?

Alright, so I downloaded sims 3 from here a long time ago. It worked fine. Recently i decided i wanted to play again, but i wanted to start fresh. I cleared the caches, saved sims, saves in general, and redownloaded all my cc. But now, the game opens-- but at the inital loading screen, it gets one bar in and then stops responding? I don't understand what's going on here. All the issues i've found have been for when it doesnt open at all.

Testing out my CC gives mixed results. It works with some things, but then the next minute it doesn't.

Temporarily move your folder The Sims 4 from Documents - Electronic Arts to your Desktop.
Now start the game again (a new folder will be created) and see if it works.

Go to your "Saved Sims" folder inside The Sims 3 folder, look for a file called "downloadedsims.index" and delete it (don't worry, it won't delete anything vital to the game and this file will recreate itself later on.)

If this doesn't help try moving "Mods" folder from The Sims 3 Documents folder temporarly to Desktop. If game starts fine root of problem are mods.
Try looking in "Mods" folder and see if there are mods that you didn't downloaded (example: Crash.package).
