What did I do wrong? (First time installing the G4TW version)

Firstly I am so so sorry if there are answers to this elsewhere, but i honestly couldn't find anything that worked.

I had a version of the game with all its bells and whistles, that worked.
I used the Fix that was uploaded on the 18th and (as with a lot of people) the game stopped working.

Today, I uninstalled the game I had, installed the G4TW versions instead.
I did everything as explained.
Then installed the NEW fix files.

All I have is the base game.
Nothing else.

Am I being a moron?

This is so frustrating, I had a great working version, but wanted to update it and now I have nothing.

Uninstalling the game:
Use a good uninstaller (I prefer Revo Uninstaller on the highest settings)
1. Uninstall Get to Work - let the uninstaller search for registryitems and folders, when found, selcet all and delete
2. Uninstall Sims 4 - same a above

Install the game:
1. Instal basic Game - do not apply cracks, fixes aso.
2. Install Get to Work - do not apply cracks, fixes
3. Install Get Together - do not apply cracks, fixes
4. Add the folder Bin to your Anti-virus
5. Install update 1.20.60.1020
6. Play the game: If you have 32 bits Windows with the shortcut on your desktop: If you have 64 bits windows with a new shortcut from TS4_x64 from the Game\Bin folder

I am so painfully unobservant, it's a miracle that my PC is even plugged in.

Thank you, in just starting again from scratch I realised what it was that I was messing up!

I just wanted to add that uninstalling your previous version most likely wouldn't have been necessary at all. But yes, Games4theworld's items are meant to be used all together, and there is a specific install order, accordingly.

Base game -> Get to Work -> Get together.

You're right, I almost certainly didn't need to uninstall it. But I thought perhaps it's work better with the recommended version. 
I did have the game working for a few hours. But the next day I tried to load it nothing happens at all when I click the logos.
I see the process appear in Task Manager but it vanishes after about 30 seconds.

I haven't been posting much in the past couple of days, do you still need help with that ?

Have you made sure to correctly add the install location of your Sims 4 game to the "exclusions" in Windows Defender and the anti-virus ? See this guide here for an introduction:

Also...after you (re-)added these exclusions, please re-apply the Ultimate fix again, from G4TW.   Good luck !
