Torrent Expansions With Steam Base Game?
I just want to know, is it 100% impossible to use torrented expansions with a steam version of The Sims 3? I actually prefer playing through steam than with a torrented library but I am not shelling out £30 each for Showtime and Into The Future. So, can I use the torrented expansions with the Steam base game and steam expansions already installed?
Similarly, can I use the Store Content with the Steam version of Sims 3?
Thanks for any help offered!

Hello there,
yes you can. Just download addons you want, install them. Finally, download Ultimate Fix and copy content of #Crack folder to The Sims 3 Base Game install directory.
This should work, if you incounter any problems feel free to ask.

Again, I don't think so. But let me verify that.

Ok, usually your EP will not recognise your Steam Base Game, but you can try.

Okay, thanks for the help. To save making another thread, can I use the Store Content from here with the steam base game? Since arent they installed through the sims 3 client itself, if memory persists correctly.♥✿Ɛɗιη✿♥ wrote:Ok, usually your EP will not recognise your Steam Base Game, but you can try.

Hello,
I can't recall if that is possible, but feel free to try it. About the original issue: consider pirating the base game of TS3 too, then you could freely use pirated expansions too.

Hello there,
Indeed, there is technically (read: literally) no difference between the pirated and the original base game.
Legends say that the pirated Games4theworld version works better than the retail copy.
Is there anything else we can help you with?
