Sims 3 pets Bugs. HELP! :( Empty Sims 3 pets Bugs. HELP! :(

I just finished downloading and installing Sims 3 pets. No problem starting it up and all. But the problem lies in the create a sim mode. When im trying to create a sim, non of the sliders work. the muscle , body proportions. I cant change the skins and change the body to teen - elder. I dont know whats wrong here. :/
