Question about aspirations and splitting households
I hope someone can help,
I have been making a huge family on the sims and one of my adult sims' aspirations is "have a child reach top of any career" I was wondering if I move one child into a separate house and get them to the top of a career will it still fulfill their parents aspirations?
I have 4 kids and I can't cope with it so I want to move one of them into a seperate household and play seperately from the family, I hope this makes sense.
Thanks in advance

Yes I think it counts if they live seperately

Re: Question about aspirations and splitting households
As I've tried this on my machine, it seems like the aspiration task still not complete. I personally don't have family members who has this aspiration, so these are the steps that I used for testing it.
After that, I followed these steps below without moving the child out and the task still not complete.
I'm not sure that it's because a lot of cheat commands had been used during testing or it could be a glitch since I found people still complaining about this on EA site.
By the way, you might duplicate the saved game and try it for an experiment.
- Create a family which have a adult father who has a Successful Lineage aspiration and a young adult child.
- Move in to the house.
- Select the child and find a job. (I chose athlete job because I can use cheat commands to set the skill level)
- Select the father and use Complete Current Milestone command to complete the first 3 milestones.
- After the child got a job, use Promote command until the job level is 9.
- Move the child out to other place.
- Switch the active household to the child's house. Send them to work until they get promoted.
- Switch the active household back to the father's house. (doesn't work as expected)
- Move the child back to father's house. (still doesn't work)
After that, I followed these steps below without moving the child out and the task still not complete.
- Select the child and use Demote command.
- Send the child to work again until they get promoted.
