Possibly direct download? Empty Possibly direct download?

Post by Guest Mon 16 Jan 2017, 06:25

Hello all,

So.. I've been missing alot of stuff since September 2016, and now I'm back. My previous download for The Sims 4 was the Dine Out. I have all the game and DLCs for the Sims 4, except the City Living. I'm thinking about finally getting it, however I couldn't download the City Living using torrent. Is there any ways? Maybe you guys could provide another method such as 'direct- download' for the City Living file. Although the file is extremely huge, but torrent seems couldn't work in my region. Had changed the setting in order to speed the download up, but it didnt work. Direct download, for now is better since it can reach until 200kb/s rather than the torrent just 14kb/s..

I really need help..  WhatDidUJustCallMe?

Also, reading the thread for the City Living guide.. Is it after having the Dine Out, I should just download the City Living? Or, there is another step I need to do? I have successfully install the Ultimate Fix/Hotfix in order to activate the Dine Out.. So now, just normally need the City Living file, right? Oh my... Hmmm, sure?

Hello @DanishQweex again,

Sorry to hear that, but most likely we won't put the file on a direct download-host. Sad  It would be pointless to do so, in my opinion, mostly because of the filesize. Did you check out this guide here too?
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t11496-how-to-speed-up-fix-utorrent-downloads-guide

Other than that, is it a possibility for you, to ask a friend or relative to torrent the .rar for you? And yes, you need the "City Living" torrent to get the latest update.

Hi, thanks for the reply.  Smile

Hmm, is that so. I did read the guide. But nothing fixed. Too bad in my area, I'm might be the only one who had the cracked The Sims 4 up 'till the Dine Out. Can't really ask for the other buddies to download them tho. Haha, anyhow, I will try to download them via torrent cause there's no other way to get the file. Hopefully, I can set the setting so that the download speed increase. Well, thanks anyway mate.  Surprised

Sure, no problem. Sorry again to hear about these issues, but keep in mind that direct downloads don't necessarily make your download go faster. And a lot of times, when you use direct downloads and there is even a brief interruption of your internet connection, the download aborts, and you have to start from scratch.

It doesn't happen always, but oftentimes it does, with many services. There are third-party tools that can help here (download managers), but still. With torrents, when the internet disconnects you can safely resume the torrent download anytime again without loss.

I am succesfully expirimenting with a new kind of download.

What I've done sofar:
1. Downloaded the base game from Origin, version 1.26 and the base game from G4TW (or others), much lower version
2. Copied the files and folders from the Origin game (Except folder Data - Client and the files TS4 and TS4_x86 from Game-Bin) to the pirated version.
3. the above steps resulted in a new pirated base game version 1.26 (except toddlers)
4. made a new Sims 4 folder in Downloads\Electronic Arts, or download a new folder that is already prepared for all expansions in version 1.26 and is only 57 kb's in size.
5. Played the game, no problems
6. Uploaded all individual EP's, FP's, GP's and SP's to media like Stack or Mega
7. Downloaders can make their choice for any individual expansion bij just downloading it and adding the folder to the installation-folder in Program Files\The Sims 4.
So - if required - they can play the game without stuff-packs, or without Get to Work or Dine Out. (Yes this can be done of course right now by removing the folders form your existing installation-folder.)

Based on the above I presume that a pirated crack for toddlers can be reduced to the folders Data->Client (ClientDeltaBuild0.package and Ul.package) and of course the new crack in Game->Bin

To reduce the filesize I've split the download for the base game in 5 parts

Good for you.
Why so cynical ?
The topic was just meant for YOU !
Maybe YOU could do something with it and make downloading easier.
Look at the comments/questions about the existing G4TW downloads.
Why did I explain it in detail how to do it !
I was sincerely trying to help YOU and G4TW

I'm sorry, but sometimes I can't understand you.

EDIT:
Yes I know that the G4TW-torrents are spread worldwide and cannot be withdrawn easily
But besides the existing torrent you could at least TRY to offer alternatives.
And yes, I know you don't like me because I'm talking about better downloads besides the ones from G4TW, such as the all-in-one for the Sims 3.
I am already banned from sending private messages so if you don't appreciate my contributions to this forum, ban me completely.

Because I also said many times before that just adding these EP01, GP01, FP01, etc. doesn't work. There are parts in the other folders, like in the "Delta"-folder, that contain data for the expansions. I know it sounds logical, but it doesn't work like that, and it will lead to various in-game problems, like the game freezing at startup. You have to edit the RldOrigin.ini file as well to enable or disable various DLC. Which is also one of the reasons why it is not that easy to come up with an "Update-only Ultimate fix" for TS4.

It can be exciting to tamper with files, and especially if it seems you found a solution, but in my experience the cracked TS4 doesn't work like that.

I am aware that you highly dislike the "format" of the downloads here, but it's not like you have any serious alternative routes to offer in this case (the all-in-one installers will be relevant only at the end of The Sims 4's life cycle).

I've explained many, many, many times to you before that the format is not going to change. Deal with it; and if you decide to argue here again, I'll just delete your messages (again), is that understood?

Yes, it is and was fully understood !
It is not I asking for alternative downloads, it's your MEMBERS !
My only contribution is to draw your attention to alternatives.
Yes I fully understand that making a new all-in-one after each and every update is timeconsuming, but you are here for the members, the members are not here for you.

Edit:
Because I also said many times before that just adding these EP01, GP01, FP01, etc. doesn't work. There are parts in the other folders, like in the "Delta"-folder, that contain data for the expansions.
Apparently you have not read item 2:
2. Copied the files and folders from the Origin game (Except folder Data - Client and the files TS4 and TS4_x86 from Game-Bin) to the pirated version.
Where i excluded Data-Client. because the files ClientDeltaBuild0.package and Ul.package relate to toddlers
And believe me, it WORKS !
Do you think I would publish it without checking ?
I have a reputation on downloads to loose ! (Since 2006)
Can't we just bury the hatchet ?

We get messages like that every time a new DLC is anticipated. The last time from a user who suggested we use the Origin-accounts of existing players to play the City living DLC. And then they got angry when we said we didn't allow the information to be linked/posted in public. People...who may or may not be good-willed, and apparently have the necessary time to concern themselves with messing around the game files.

But I neither have the time nor interest to look at these "alternative routes". My opinion is, if you wanted to help, your time would have been better spent doing something else, but OK. Could still be interesting in the end, for some people (I mean that alternative method).

If you think that whatever you found is a feasible method, feel free to publish it in the Forum section here - without linking to external downloads, of course.

@DanishQweex.
Received your message via noreply@forumotion.com.
Tried to answer but unable to reply via that mail-address without knowing your proper own mail-address. ( Censored = non existing)

But to anwer your main question: Yes, I tested it and it works perfectly.

About downloadsizes:
Possibly direct download? Sizes_orig

@Moderators: Email addresses should not be published, but as this seems to be a non-existing one I think it's OK

Please do NOT post e-mail addresses or other contact information in public, even if they don't appear to work. In that case, you could've have just said "the address didn't work". And to my knowledge there is no way to block e-mail addresses in messages, unless for newly registered users.

@everybody, as for the method, we (G4TW) don't endorse it, so use it carefully and at your own risk.

I do admit that at present my system is not of great help yet, it works perfectly though, but i'm looking forward to new DLC's.
The updates from the scene seem to get bigger and bigger and my system COULD reduce the future downloads drastically.

Look at update 1.69 by Origin for the Sims 3 whereby you can exclude some DLC's to reduce the strain on your computer.
I don't know howmany DLC's Electronic Arts has in mind for the Sims 4.
And yes, you can reduce the strain already by just moving folders for EP's, GP' aso backwards and forwards between your installation-folder and a seperate folder f.e. on your desktop.
At present you can't remove EP03 and SP09 in the downloads. With my method you can.

I didn't post my findings for the brought public but just tried to bring it to the attention of G4TW for future references.

It'll probably make most sense to look at that again once TS4 doesn't get any updates anymore (neither for the base game nor DLC). And as said, if you are so convinced the method is good, get involved, and make a post about it - put the "experimental" notice if you like in the topic title, in case people get too excited.
