Any way to save my Sims?

For a future update 
Last time when I wanted to download City Living I probably made a mistake somewhere which resulted in all my Sims deleted.. ..and I don't want that to happen again. Any way I can save them?

Hello,
Sure! You can make a backup of your saves folder. Go to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4, and copy your saves folder to another location on your pc.
In the event that your "The Sims 4" folder gets deleted, you can copy your backup back to the new folder.
