The sims 3 pets action bars gone?

I just downloaded 
pets (illeagly) from tpb i had bought late night and sims 3 but downloads pets....after installation i was making a family then when i was done i was about to start playing till i relized 1 of my dogs was gone!
so i retarted game and then all my action bars were gone i restarted the game twice after that nothing new happend could someone please help me!
i am not running any mods and all games are up to date...
