CRC error during installation (TS3) [CLOSED]

Hello,

every time I try to install Sims 3 Late Night, I get an error.

It is something a long the lines of this:

...doesn't match the file in the setup's .cab file. The medium from which you are running the setup may be corrupted; contact your software vendor.

The ellipse is something about the Bridgeport town. I am then given the choice to either abort, ignore, or retry.

If I hit retry, the same error will come up.
If I hit ignore, the error will keep coming up later on. If I continuously hit ignore, the game will be installed but I won't be able to play it, and it will also screw up the rest of my Sims 3 games.

I did a little Google search. I tried repairing, uninstalling, installing my .NET framework and also trying to install the game in save mode. I also moved the game to my desktop itself and tried installing from there. All to no avail.

I currently have base game, Ambitions, Generations and Pets installed.

I'm wondering if it's due to my computer unable to play all the games.

My dxdiag specs thing:

Please open the .rar file you downloaded using only WinRar, which can be downloaded from www.games4theworld.org . (If you use any other software than WinRar, like WinZip or 7-zip, the files will get messed up!)
When
you've opened the file using WinRar, select áll the files in it and
drag & drop them to a folder on your Desktop. When the extraction is
done, close the .rar file and open the folder on your Desktop.
Now,
start by reading the included "# Installation Guide.txt" and you should
be able to get the game to work yourself. Good luck!

Lol! I'm not talking about the Sims 3 ultimate fix. The fix works just fine, thank you for that.

The error I'm getting is just an error I get from another torrent of an installation of the Sims 3 Late Night game.

Try re-extract back Have you try that?

Yes, I already did.

Hello,

I wasn't mentioning the Fix, I was explaining how to extract the .rar file you downloaded.
But since you downloaded it from an other user, it might not be in .rar form. Can you tell us more about the file format of the original file you downloaded?
