Origin not running error

Ughh... okay so this is my last resort.

The game used to work in the past with GTW and GT packs installed. Never had an issue until recently, I started getting the origin not running error. I've tried everything I could come across that would help. I don't even HAVE origin installed. I even checked for any residual files for Origin. 

So far I've completely uninstalled and deleted everything that was related to TS4, did a registry cleanup via CCleaner, and restarted. Installed the base game, made sure Windows Defender excluded it (It's the only virus program I use.) Still had that error. So then I did the ultimate fix. Still had the error. Then I tried the DLC packs.. going in order with GTW, then Get Together, in order.  Still no luck. Tried City Living, hoping maybe it had a patch fix.. Nope. Re-applied the Fix after all of that, and still nothing. 

I've also tried the alternate suggestions, deleting Default & Game version. Nada. 

If it helps, I'm running windows 10 - it can't be a Piracy block because I have other pirated software that runs no problem, and like I said, it's run in the past. 

All of my downloads are also current.  I even tried deleting all the old ones, and re-downloading the new stuff. I've even tried moving it out of the EA folder in Programs (x86),  and deleted any past saves as well as Mods. There should have been nothing that causes such a conflict.

Still not having luck... anyone?

Did you add Sims 4 to the exclusions? If so, let me know.
This happened to me too because the file can install Origin files, so you have to delete them.
Also try to block the connection with the firewall like I did.

Yeah, I did both... even removed all the old excluded files from the first install attempt, and replaced everything with the current folder. 

even moved the _install folder, past saves, any mods, moved TS4 from the EA folder...  

both TS4 and TS4_x64 are allowed through the firewall.. still no luck

still  no luck...

It's not the lack of assistance but not knowing how to solve your problem.

Most of the times when games used to work perfectly and all of a sudden the Origin problem pops up, it is caused by your anti-virus.
Sometimes it takes a while before your AV locates the crack for your game.
As long as it is within the .rar file it's pretty safe.
When you extract it, then it becomes vulnerable.

The safest way to re-install the crack is:
* Make sure your install folder is in the exceptions of your anti-virus program
* Download the crack HERE
* Place the download in your install folder The Sims 4\Game\Bin
* Rightclick on the crack and select Extract in Crack City Limits
* you now created a new folder Crack City Limits
* Open that folder, select all files with CTRL+A, rightclick and select Copy
* Go to your Bin folder, rightclick in an open space (not in or behind a folder) and select Paste
* Overwrite existing files.

The crack makes your game English, if you want another language then adapt the file RldOrigin to your choice
Reboot your PC and start the game as an administrator.

and here I thought everyone was all-knowing on the forums.  

The problem is I've reinstalled it multiple times.  I've had it working in the past, it didn't start doing this to me until I added City Livng. Now even without CL, it wont work.  I'll give it another shot though, so we'll see.

If you continue using the same  crack over and over again then you'll never succeed.
Download City Living again and make sure the the folder where you extract the download to is in your exclusions of the AV.

There should be a "crack only" on G4TW.

Thing is, I've re-downloaded the base game several times as well. I've tried everything I can think of or come across to figure it out.

I had the same problem, had to reinstall and followed the instructions more closely.

My fault was that before pasting the get together content, you need to move the whole game into the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\The Sims 4\

The crack only works for me in this folder.

it was already in the right folder when it started happening.  still no luck.

lololololol I don't know what happened, but it suddenly works again. Only thing different that happened was a windows update.  

So now the game works with all the updates.
