Trouble with Sims 3 after installing with Ultimate Fix

I installed Sims 3 with all the expansions and I used the ultimate fix. Everything seems to be working just fine. But, when I start a new game and try and put items on the lot the game just crashes and it does it every time. I can create a sim perfectly fine and I think the game play itself works as well. But, I cant really play a new game if I cant even edit/build on a lot. XD Help please!!

Yes, I am but I was using mods on it before I installed the game again. I did add more though...could that be the problem?

Oops, meant I do have mods but they were workin fine before i put on the latest expansion packs. But I did add more downloads.

Hello,
You have to make sure your mods are compatible with the latest expansionpack/game version. Especially after Pets, a lot has changed and outdated mods can cause a whole range of problems. If you're using any CC, you should also read this.

Ugh. what a bummer. So I went through that tutorial on tsr and the game still exits out as soon as I add any item to a lot. :/

Not sure what to do next. Could I maybe have too much extra content or something?
