game is running very very slow

hi there,  I have a question about the sims 4.  recently my game has started lagging really badly,  to the point of that I cant really play it anymore.  when I give a command it take a really long time to respond.  I have researched this problem online and on your website. everyone says that I should empty my cache folder,  only I don't have a cache folder... I don't know why,  but its not there.   any advice you have for me on this issue would be greatly appreciated.  once again,  thanks in advance,  you guys have always been very helpful in the past   :-)

But you DO have a cachestr folder.
Are other programs also running slow ?
Check your computer for virusses/malware.
Or look at the ^-sign (right hand side on your taskbar near the clock) and see the unnecessary programs that are starting up with Windows.

no,  everything else is running fine.  I do virus/malware scans on a regular basis and everything is ok there. and also I do practice shutting down unnecessary programs before launching the game.

Everyone is facing the same problem for running sims 4 slowly even me too . Try to delete the cachster folder items only and delete localthumbnailcache.package located in sims 4 documents folder hope that will help you

well, I have tried deleting localthumbnailcache.package nut unfortunately that didn't really help much.  and as far as the cachster folder goes,  everytime I open it it is completely empty before I even got there.  weird.
