Sims 4 issues

Hi, so I've been having trouble with the Sims 4 again lately. Yesterday I saw that the update is finally here, and I dowloaded it and added it and then applied Ghost's fix. It opened perfectly and all was good.
Here I am today however, facing the horrific black screen that keeps saying Sims 4 not responding. I do launch the game from the new Game folder, tried as an admin and I have no mods whatsoever.
I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me out here -thanks.
