this product requires an installed copy of the sims 3

Hi, i always get this problem whenever i install high end expansion pack, i already have the sims 3 [located at drive d], however, my sims3 was just copy-pasted, and i think it doesnt recognize that , indeed, i have already the game. Any solutions please? Thanks

the thing is, i just have the files, dont have the installer, just like i said, i just copy-pasted it, so what are you trying to say is to download the game installer? Any other solutions, since i got a slow internet and it will take many days to download it. Answer regarding to the expansion, yes its my first to install an expansion.

Well, no, copy and pasting isn't going to work for sure. You'll need to remove everything first and then reinstalling using, indeed, the installer.
