I lost all data in sims3!

I installed all the expansions + all the store updates, then i installed the ultimate fix. All ok, but after some minutes i got some errors 12 i think and some problems with saving.
So i did the following things : https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t857-the-sims-3-crashes-freezes-to-desktop-fix-update-22-12-2011
And then i lost all the data! I can find two folders of sims3 in my documents, one old and one new. When i start the ts3w.exe i can't find my saves. Why this happened?
* I used the compatibility, turned of vertical sync and DEP tricks. *

Hello,
If your saves are present in the old folder, try moving them to the new folder.

I will try it. But i have to install again all the files in the downloads folder!! It's pain for me to do this thing again!
Also, i have to remove the DEP trick, because the launcher didn't work and so i can't install the sims3packs!

Hello,
Error 12 is a save-game error and not specifically related to crashing issues by the way. Its just a random (but quite destructive) bug.
It can be prevented by using Twallan's error trap, a user created mod. I've started using it myself after getting error code 12 and it never happened again, even managed to keep my savegames that had already gotten the error with minimal loss.
