Custom content and The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs
Hey everyone,
I was just wondering a thing or two. They're actually both questions that need to be answered, not that I can't live without them being answered but it would be nice to know how.
First question: I couldn't find an answer anywhere on the forum, but are you able to use costum content in the game? If the answer is yes, where do you place the files for the custom content?
Second question: When the new expansion pack comes out: The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs and it is available on games4theworld. Do I need to reinstall all the sims 4 games again or am I able to just install The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs alone if I have all the other SP's, EP's and GP's installed?
Thank you in advance
Greetings,
Fogel

Hi @Fogel and welcome to the forum!
Yes, you can indeed use Mods/CCs for your game. They should be placed under Documents\EA\The Sims 4 inside the mods folder. You need to check the 'enable CC/mods' checkbox in the in-game settings for it to work as well.
Like any new DLCs or updates, there's no need to re-install everything again. Provided the installation is the same (like previous DLCs), if you have installed up till Toddler's Stuff (or the latest update before Cats & Dogs), you can simply copy + paste the new update. Of course, more instructions will be included when the DLC/update itself comes out.
Mod edit: moved to the right section.

I wanted to tell you that the installion succeeded. The only thing I'm struggling with is the loadingscreen. When I try to go to the lot I transferred my sim to the loadingscreen just keeps going to load forever. What is the problem? Can you maybe solve it?
Thanks in advance

I don't know which DLC you have installed last, but bear this in mind:Fogel wrote:

After installation of toddlers/Vampires/Bowling you MUST copy a new Game folder to your install folder\The Sims 4. So delete the existing Game folder and install Parenthood + Fitness

Hi @Fogel,
Alternatively, if you had installed all the way till Toddler's Stuff, simply download the game folder from the link below and copy + paste them to your Sims 4 installation folder. Remember to either 1) Rename Game folder to Game_ OR 2) Delete the Game folder before pasting the new one.
